The guitars of the 200 Series are equipped with solid Sitka Spruce tops (except for the 224ce-K DLX with Koa top), producing a clear, resonant acoustic tone with ample projection to play alongside other musicians and in front of audiences. Taylor offers the choice of back and sides made of Rosewood, Maple, or Koa.

Expression System 2
All steel-string models in the 200 Series are equipped with Taylor's ES2 pickup and preamp, providing an authentic amplified sound. Nylon-string models come with the ES-N pickup, specifically designed for a snappy nylon-string tone.

Standard features include a satin finish, 4mm dot inlays, white binding, and a three-ring rosette. The Plus models come with a high-gloss finish with black binding, while the Deluxe models are equipped with small diamond fretboard inlays and polished bronze tuners.
